Sand Creek Schools was a recipient of the American Rescue Plan - ESSER III funds in the amount of $559,598.  ESSER funds have been used to fund many needs in the district, including:

  • Chromebooks
  • Additional custodial work
  • New phone system
  • Additional administrative positions to focus on student success and learning loss
  •  Purchase/installation of the SmartClean UVC system

A requirement of the ARP ESSER III funding is to periodically review and seek public input on the district's Return to Learn/Continuity of Learning Plan.    This plan will be posted our website and reviewed and modified (if needed) at least every 6 months.  The plan must cover specific areas including how the district will prioritize full, in-person learning while ensuring the safety and well-being of all members of the school community.

Please see the link to our plan below or on the main page of our district website, www.sc-aggies.us.  This plan was presented at the regular meeting of the Board of Education on Monday, September 19th, where public comment and input was taken.  There will be another opportunity for public comment and input again at a special board meeting on Monday, October 3rd, at 6 p.m.  You are also invited to contact Superintendent Sharon Smith at 517-436-3108 or sharon.smith@sc-aggies for any questions or comments on this plan.
