SENIOR CLASS & SENIOR PARENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Seniors and Senior Parents:
Based on the information we currently have, or lack thereof, I am postponing the Tuesday, March 30th Senior Class & Senior Parent meeting to Monday, April 12th @ 6pm.
At a minimum, this will be a Zoom meeting. If meeting F2F with this kind of a number is allowed by April 12th, we may meet F2F. Stay tuned on the meeting format (F2F or Zoom) for the April 12th meeting. We will be post the meeting format on our school website and the SCHS Senior Facebook page once that decision is final.
My main reason for postponing next week’s senior meeting is that there just isn’t much to update you on in regards to Prom, Senior Trip possibilities, HS Achievement Night and commencement.
Sand Creek Community Schools has cancelled their traditional out of state senior trip. Currently, we’re looking into the possibilities of taking a school-sponsored senior trip to Cedar Point on Friday, May 14th. We have yet to confirm anything on this yet, but we hope to actually schedule a “group booking” for this date sometime later this week.
Prom? The possibilities of hosting a school-sponsored high school Prom is quickly fading, but at this point it has not been officially cancelled or postponed yet. The original date for our high school Prom is Saturday, May 1st. Stay tuned for a final decision on Prom.
Commencement is still scheduled for Sunday, May 30th at 2pm on the high school football field (Ayers Field). Baccalaureate is scheduled for Thursday, May 27th at 7pm at the Jasper bible Church. Baccalaureate is not a mandatory senior event. While senior participation in this event is encouraged, this event is not a mandatory senior event.
