The Lady Aggies varsity volleyball team fell short in a thrilling 5 set game against the Morenci Bulldogs.
We started off strong taking the first set (26,24) we fell short in the second set losing (20,25) the Aggies brought it back and won the third set (25,14) the Bulldogs fought back in the fourth taking that set at (13,25) the Aggies were just shy of winning the fifth set finishing at (13,15)

On Saturday, September 6, the Varsity Cross Country teams competed at the Al Constable Memorial Invitational @ Sand Creek. The boys delivered several strong performances that earned them the championship trophy, while the girls put together an impressive effort, finishing just seven points behind Napoleon to claim 2nd place. Top performances were turned in by Blake Root, Brayden Winsted, Tre Fluker, Luke Meckley, Breck Malburg, Noah Hassenzahl, Payton Steinke, Rylee Martis, Toree Williams, Raelynn Steinke, and Sonya Wheeler.
Congratulations to the equestrian team who competed yesterday in their 2nd district meet. They are currently in 1st place with over 100 points on Milan. All 5 riders had a top 2 finish this weekend.
Special congratulations to Peyton Luck with 5 first place finishes and Lindsey Justice with 4 first place finishes.
The team will compete in 1 more district meet on September 14th at the Lenawee County Fairgrounds before advancing to Regionals in Milan, MI.

The varsity football team battled throughout the game but fell short 56-26. Leading the Aggies offensively was AJ Murdico with 3 rushing TDs and 1 receiving. Jackson Sutherland made good reads on the option and threw for 91 yards and a TD. Defensively, the Aggies were led by Noah Walters and Caden Glinski.

The junior varsity football team opened their season Thursday evening with a 26–14 loss to Quincy. The Aggies came out strong with an early 14–0 lead. Eli Shirley scored twice with an interception return and on a kickoff return. Everett Hullet, Carter Bettcher, and Drake Phipps also stood out with solid defensive performances. The team will look to bounce back next Thursday at home as they take on Union City. Come out and show your support!

Last night the lady Aggies took on the BD patriots. Both JV and varsity teams dominated winning both matches in 3 sets.

Jalyn Snyder: 10 digs
Fall Parents' Night is tomorrow, 9/5, for the following varsity teams: cheer, cross country, equestrian, football, and girls golf. The program will take place prior to the varsity football game vs. Quincy. Parents' Night activities will begin promptly at 6:20, so parents/guardians, please plan to arrive no later than 6:10. We look forward to recognizing you at this event!
On Tuesday, September 2, the varsity cross country teams competed at the Erie-Mason Relays. The girls team ran great from start to finish and took home the runners-up trophy trailing only state ranked Blissfield. The boys team had 8 boys medal and finished in 4th place trailing 2nd place Blissfield by only 8 points. Top performances were turned in by Silas Daniels, Brayden Winsted, Nick Trame, Blake Root, Zach Prater, Ben Wheeler, Payton Steinke, Maddy Trame, Raelynn Steinke, Dannyell Grimes, and Carly Ferguson.

The varsity football team opened their season with a 21 to 14 loss to Vandercook Lake. The Aggies rushed out to a 14 to 0 lead but could not hold on despite battling to the bitter end. Wyatt Fox and Grady Thompson scored for the Aggies. Jackson Sutherland threw a TD pass and AJ Murdico had a big run to set up Thompson’s score. Defensively, the Aggies were led by Christian Maxson and Brayden Ruff. The Aggies open their Big Conference with a game against Quincy at home on Friday night.
