The 8th grade boys basketball team traveled to Fayette and defeated the Eagles in a very close game; 32 – 30. With the game tied at halftime, the 2nd half was full of back and forth runs by both teams. In the end, Sand Creek made enough plays to withstand a late Eagles comeback. Leading the scoring was Brady Williams with a game high 18 pts. Emerson Walsh, Easton Thompson, and Patrick Alexander also contributed in the scoring column. It was a great season ending win for the young and talented Aggie 8th grade team. GO AGGIES!

The varsity Aggies basketball team made several runs through Friday night to keep the game tight at all times but ultimately couldn’t get over the hill and fell to the Morenci Bulldogs. Gavin Eack led the charge offensively with 19 points, followed closely by Landon Carmody with 18. Coach Sutherland would like to thank the community for coming out to support Mr. Disbrow on Friday night! The turn out and your gracious donations made Friday night one of the most special nights SC has ever had! Thank you to the army of folks behind the basketball team to pull this event off on short notice, a true testament to the quality of people we have in SC! Also a huge thank you to SC student section! You guys blew the top off of the gym and your support does not go unnoticed!
The varsity Aggies wrestled well at their home tournament on Saturday placing 3rd in a 15 team field. Top performers on the day were Nathan Bennett and Wyatt Fox who both won the tournament, AJ Murdico who placed 2nd, and 4th place finishes out of Dawson Brugger, Eli Shirley, and Tucker Hulett.

The Aggies played hard through all four quarters, with Megan Huston and Tessa Benko leading the way on defense. High scorers were Raelynn Steinke and Makayla Six with 7 points each, while Macie Smith added 6 points. The Aggies’ next game is on Tuesday at Napoleon .

Every Friday our playground supervisors will be picking a King and a Queen from each grade level. Supervisors will be watching for students who show PBIS and 1SC on the playground.

The team gave 100% effort throughout the game, but fell to Pittsford by a score of 35-18. Elise Wilkinson led the team in scoring with 7 points. Erin Alexander led the defensive effort.

The Aggie boys 7th grade basketball team traveled to Morenci on Saturday morning to compete in the TCC Tournament.
In the first game against B-D, the boys got off to a slow start against the Patriots and were down 19-9 at the half. The young Aggies battled back in the 4th quarter but ultimately fell short losing 28-20. The Aggies were led in scoring by Mason Carmody with 6 points.
In the next game against the Cougars of LCS the Aggie boys were on fire and were led in scoring by Layne Emerson who chipped in 12 points. Bryce North added another 7 points in the win. Aggies, with the 27-12 win, finished 3rd in the tournament.
The 8th grade team also competed in the tournament. The Aggies won game 1 over Waldron, 38 – 14. Leading the way were Clayton Jones and Brady Williams who each scored 10 points. Defensively, the Aggies forced many turnovers and played very aggressive. In the championship game, the Aggies fought hard all the way to the end against a very good LCS team, losing 39 – 26. In a very rough and physical game, the Aggies were led by Brady Williams with 13 points and Emerson Walsh with 11 points. Also, Nolan Borders represented Sand Creek as he won the Speed Lay-Up competition for the tournament.

The Aggies wrestled tough competition Saturday at Romeo. While going 0-5 in team duals, several big individual matchups were won on the day. The top performer for the Aggies was Nathan Bennett, going 3-2 on the day, to maintain a winning season record.
