Cancelled 10/7: JH Cheer practice

On Saturday, September 28th, a combination of school board members, community members, parents, students and staff met for an all-day Stakeholder Retreat planning session. This group sacrificed their Saturday to help the district develop our next Three-to-Five Year Strategic Plan. The day was spent analyzing survey results, focus group session input, and other district data; and then using that information to recreate the district’s mission, vision and belief statements as well as identify goals. Our facilitators have collected and documented the work from the retreat and will begin working with the district’s Administrative Team to create future action steps.
We will continue to ask for community input as we move forward with this new Strategic Plan. Please contact the superintendent’s office or any school board member with any questions on this process.

On September 19, Ms. Elliott attended the 4th Annual Teacher and Counselor Externship Awards Dinner, after having completed her externship this past summer with Evonik, in Weston, Michigan. The externship program was made possible by Lenawee Now, Align Lenawee, and the ISD.
This opportunity allowed teachers and counselors to learn critical on-the-job experience for a two week period with a local company or business in Lenawee County. Ms. Elliott is bringing her new knowledge to help prepare students to enter the work force!

Makenna Wheeler and Taylor McLaughlin are competing at the Lenawee County Girls Golf Tournament today at Wolf Creek Golf Course. Good luck, lady Aggies!
