Mission Statement

Sand Creek Community Schools will provide a range of motivational and engaging instructional experiences in a safe environment, empowering students to achieve their greatest potential.

Vision Statement

The vision of Sand Creek Community Schools is to develop well-rounded, responsible, productive and successful members of society.

Outline

  • March 2024: Sand Creek Community Schools embarked on a Strategic Planning Process beginning with board approval.

  • September 2024: Data Collection began with a survey that was sent to all staff, students, parents/guardians and community members; 398 responses were received.

    • 28 individuals made up a Stakeholder group that met on a Saturday for an offsite Retreat to assess the received data. Vision, Mission & Belief statements were recreated and goals were established.

  • November 2024: An Implementation Workshop took place to review the work that had been done at the Stakeholder Retreat and finalize first year objectives.

  • December 2024: The Board of Education approved the three to five-year Strategic Plan.

  • January 2025: Begin the work of First Year Goal Objectives.

  • November 2025: Second Year Implementation Meeting.

    • Establish year two objectives.

  • January 2026: Begin the work of Second Year Goal Objectives.

  1. Academics and Programs

SCCS will prepare students for academic success and to be positive, contributing members of society.

  1. Continue supporting students enrolled in Aggie Academy to retain students whose needs are better served outside the district.

  2. Literacy intervention for grades 6-12.

  1. Learning Environment & Culture

SCCS will use relationships and data to foster a positive and safe learning environment.

  1. Focus on unity and trust.

  2. Increase presence of high school students in the elementary building.

  1. Communication and Community Engagement

SCCS will continue to explore and utilize multiple communication avenues to promote and encourage engagement within and beyond our community.

  1. Hire a Communications Director.

SCCS will foster a culture and climate that develops staff and administrative leaders.

SCCS will maintain financial stability to support the changing needs of the district.
