National School Counseling Week 2022, “School Counseling: Better Together,” sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), will be celebrated from Feb. 7–11, 2022, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems and how students are different as a result of what school counselors do. National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.

We are proud to have Mrs. Keisha Maybee at the elementary school 30 hours per week to provide support to our students. She earned her undergraduate from Spring Arbor University in Psychology and Master’s in counseling at the University of Toledo.  Prior to working at Sand Creek Mrs. Maybee worked in a private practice for 10 years.

We also have a full-time guidance counselor, Ms. Slusher on staff every day to provide support to our students at Sand Creek Jr./Sr. High School.   Ms. Slusher is in her first year as a School Counselor.  She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Adrian College in April 2018 and Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan.

Thank you for all you do to support our students.
