9th-12th Grade Update

Late Sunday afternoon, the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS) issued an emergency order suspending face to face instruction for all Michigan high schools from November 18 through December 8th. This means that starting tomorrow, all Sand Creek High School students will be attending school as on-line learners.  While this is a temporary setback for our high school face to face students, our school district has been preparing for this moment, and we are poised and ready to meet this new challenge.

Starting tomorrow, all high school students will be attending Sand Creek from home as virtual students.  This instructional setting will offer all on-line learners multiple opportunities to engage with their teachers during their normal class period schedule on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  Students will be expected to work on class assignments five days a week M-F.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays our teachers will be creating on-line lessons, grading student work and posting instructional videos & classroom assignments.  Students will also be able to email their teachers during their normal class period times on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  All daily assignments for on-line learners will be posted by 8am on each school day.

On-line learning requires reliable internet access.  The current MDHHS emergency order allows school districts to bring high school students into the building for the purpose of access to internet connectivity.  If your family is unable to gain reliable internet access, please contact the high school office for instructions on how to attend school for the purpose of gaining access to internet connectivity.
